Lenita was born and raised in Natchez, MS to teen parents. She grew up in a very musical and artistic family and began acting at age 5 in her kindergarten play, The Nanny Goat's Gruff. She grew up with dreams of being a singer, but still lended her acting skills to various projects from time to time.In 2010, she auditioned for American Idol and made it to Hollywood. After pursuing a career as a singer in 2012, she determined that being a recording artist wasn't the right fit for her. Her moment of self realization came in December 2013 when she booked her first film job on Get On Up. There she realized that acting was the love of her heart.After spending a full year getting trained and coached at Launch Model & Talent in New Orleans, LA, she decided to try her hand at the film industry. She began acting around the town in November 2015 and 2 weeks later landed an agent. She booked her first ever audition for a commercial and has booked many since. She is very quickly climbing the ladder and becoming a town favorite among casting directors and fellow actors. Show less «
