In January 2009, Mark Malmborg from Maton Guitars presented Lawrie with a Mastersound guitar mounted in a frame with photos showing some of the highlights of Lawrie's 15 years touring with Lee Kernaghan. Lawrie has worked with other great music legends including Jimmy Barnes, Ross (Eagle Rock) Wilson, Slim Dusty, Buddy Williams, James Blundell, Troy Cassar-Daley, and Matt Scullion.
