Lauren Thomas is an Australian actress, model and presenter. She discovered her passion for acting at the age of 9 performing in school plays and landed her first role at 14, performing in a musical theatre production of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'.Since then, Lauren has appeared in over 70 projects including films, TV shows, music videos and documentaries. She is known for her portrayal of lead and supporting roles in feature film 'Hotel', educational short film 'Everyone Pays', horror short film 'Australian Gothic: Apparicious', and short films 'Run', 'In The Blink of an Eye', 'Hurt', 'Promise Not to Tell' and 'My Sister's Last Wish'. Additionally, she has worked as an extra on set for Australian feature films 'Son of a Gun', 'These Final Hours' and 'The Reckoning'.Lauren has a background in radio presenting and creative writing. In 2014, she worked with the 'Gosnells Writers Circle' (a writing group) to create an original live to air programme for radio station, 107.3HFM. She hosted the show titled 'The Writers Circle' along with 2 other hosts every Sunday afternoon.Hosting the programme inspired Lauren to create an original show of her own, so in 2015 she created and hosted 'Thank God it's Friday' which was an upbeat programme designed for a younger audience. It went live to air on 107.3HFM every Friday during drive time.Lauren has undertaken training in many acting courses and workshops including at NIDA, TAFTA, Nicholson's' Academy of Screen Acting, Filmbites and The Perth Film Network Acting Studio.She has appeared on screen as a presenter several times including in the TV series 'I'm on The Road' which aired on TV network West TV (Channel 44) in 2014. She has also hosted several documentaries, interviewing various people at community events including The Autumn Harvest Festival, The Global Game Jam, The Graffiti Heads Fundraiser and The UWA Ignite Launch.Lauren appeared on web series 'Popcorn' as a presenter, interviewing people involved in the Perth entertainment industry including children's entertainer, Peter Combe.She has also appeared in many music videos, including starring as the serial killer in 'Nothing to Confess' by 'Euphymis', a band comprised of ex-members of the 6 time WAMI Award winning band 'The Fergusons'. She also starred as the love interest in music video 'Misplaced Me' by 'Illuminor'.Lauren got her start in modelling at 14 years of age in a bridal photo shoot. Since then, she has modelled for many different photographers and companies, appearing in over 65 photo shoots including fashion, editorial, swimwear, underwater and lifestyle. She has also modelled for videos, catwalk events and promotional campaigns. Furthermore, images of her have been published in 'Freque Magazine', 'Kultur Mag' and 'Jorie Magazine'.
