Laura Cooper was born in Oklahoma, grew up in the Chicago suburbs and has been in the entertainment business her whole adult life. Starting as a college DJ, she moved into the club scene and private party circuit in the Chicago area in the 1980's. She studied acting, provided sound for the college theater, and practiced commercial and news announcing as well as radio broadcasting. She provided music and announcements for hundreds of private parties in the area. In 2010, a friend asked her to be an extra in the independent film "The Color of Blood" which is in the final stages of production (2011). It was on the set of "The Color of Blood" that Laura fell in love with the film process, and the excitement of working with so many fascinating people. She then quickly became an extra for the pilot "Pleading Guilty" starring Jason Issacs. But it was her third project where she received a break from Vince Vaughn who spoke to her on film and made her SAG eligible in the current film "The Dilemma" Laura will be seen briefly in the upcoming "Man of Steel" and continues to work on many film productions in Chicago and all over the country.
