Back in the 1960's, Lars Lundgren was a professional firefighter in Sweden before he became a stuntman.At that time, he was unique in his new profession as there were no preexisting professional stuntmen in his country.He also did some acting and landed a supporting role in "Rännstensungar" (1974).In 1972 he quit his job as a firefighter as he got a new full time job as a fencing instructor in Dramatens play "Hamlet".When he finished his assignment, Lars decided try his luck overseas in USA. There he got in touch with celebrities like Jerry Lee Lewis, Brigitte Bardot and Roger Vadim.To get by financially, he took a job in Beverly Hills as a bartender. The regulars consisted mainly of actors and agents, a perfect way of getting a foot into Hollywood show business.He turned out to be a huge success and got several new assignments in major Hollywood movie productions, working side by side with many superstar actors like Timothy Dalton and Arnold Schwarzenegger.Lars Lundgren was a personal friend of David Carradine, along with being his stunt double for over 5 years.Apart from being a stuntman, he also worked as a stunt coordinator.In 2002, he moved back to Sweden with his wife.
