Lynn was born, LynnQuinEtta Alissa James, in the greater metro area of Detroit, MI. Parents are Oscar James, SR and Diana L. Sanders. She started modeling at the age of three. She then got into performing arts at the age of seven. She broke into the high fashion world of modeling at the age of sixteen when she attended the Model Search of America. Having much favor she received numerous(8) callbacks form top agents like Elite, Marliyn's, T Model Management. She decided to sign with Marilyn's, a top ten agency and she was the first African- Native American model,at the time, to ever sign with this agency. Alissa, her middle name, is the name they asked her to use because LynnQuinEtta was to hard to pronounce apparently. Her debut was in the March issue of "ELLE" 2001 and she was featured on two pages. Following that she was featured exclusively in "Russell Simmons's One World" with an eight page story called "Oya". Not knowing that years later she would be working very closely with the Simmons' Empire. She went on to be featured in "TRACE" magazine for "Model Behavior" and later for a fashion story. She has also been featured in "BlackBook" a couple of times. Also she has a cover of Vogue floating somewhere over in Australia. In 2005, she modeled in BET's Rip the Runway, along side her current friends like Vanessa Simmons and Ria Burgess. After attending St. John's University she got a little bit more than just a college experience. She met one of her best friends and now business partner Vanessa Simmons. At the time Vanessa was starting her modeling career. After being asked by Vanessa's family to look after her since Lynn had been modeling for a while already, the two girls became even closer as the years went by. Which explains why she was featured on "Run's House" and "Daddy's Girls" on MTV. Lynn has also been asked to represent the United States in a couple of model contests in Waxi, China and West Africa. She received the title "Face of the Americas", sharing the stage with the beloved Mariana Bridi, in the "Exquisite Face of the Universe" competition. In the first few years of moving out to Los Angeles she worked on such shows as General Hospital's NightShift and Rules of Engagement. Focusing a lot more on her acting and music career LynnQuinEtta is living in Los Angeles, CA. She is also a President of an organization that builds funding for upcoming talent. Show less «
