Kyle Casey Chu is a Queer fourth-generation Chinese-American music and film producer. He and his twin brother, Kevin Chu, were born in San Francisco, CA, and raised by Alycia Chu, a dietitian, and Robin Chu, a designer. Kyle studied baritone saxophone at Ruth Asawa School Of The Arts High School, where he was recognized as a state-ranked saxophonist before graduating in 2006. He moved on to study at Sarah Lawrence College, where he was discovered by celebrated feminist filmmaker, Lilly Rivlin. While still in school, Kyle was appointed by Rivlin to compose and perform the original score for her international award-winning documentary, Grace Paley: A Collected Shorts. Kyle later earned his Master's in Social Work from Columbia University in 2016.
