Kyla is hard of hearing, inheriting a degenerative hearing loss at birth, and relies on the use of hearing aids in her day-to-day. She elaborates, "Being hard of hearing has fundamentally influenced the ways in which I communicate. Listening and responding is a full-contact sport."After graduating from the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts in 2016, Kyla Dyan (born Kyla Diane Kennedy), moved to Los Angeles to study comedy/improvisation at The Groundlings and the Meisner Technique under Don Bloomfield at DBA Studios.
