Kumel Heer was born in Walsall in the West Midlands, UK, to parents originally from The Punjab in India. Even though he is vegetarian, Kumel is a keen amateur body builder and a huge boxing fan. Through his connections to boxing Kumel met "Big" Joe Egan who has appeared in many films and TV shows and it was "Big" Joe who suggested Kumel might be suited to a role in The Black Prince (2016) where Kumel got to speak his first line. Kumel is proud of his Sikh heritage and is recognisable from his turban and beard. His physique makes him an ideal candidate for Sikh warrior/soldier type roles. Kumel's first role in a film was as an extra in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (2013) where he played a gang member. Kumel still lives in Walsall and is happily married with 2 children, one son and one daughter. Show less «
