A freelance writer, researcher, and business owner, Kristin Donnan (aka Kristin Donnan Standard) has published two books-including "Rex Appeal" (2002) the source material for Todd Douglas Miller's 2014 documentary, "Dinosaur 13." She is the sole owner of Rockin' Dog Studios, through which she is writes, edits, and produces materials, including a dramatic script based on the "Dinosaur 13" story. Another screenplay, "SIMA" (2008), is based on "The Spy Who Seduced America: The Judith Coplon Story" by Marcia & Thomas Mitchell. She previously co-wrote with Charles Mulvehill an adaptation of Clyde Edgerton's "Walking Across Egypt," which was optioned but not produced.Past work has included NBC's "Unsolved Mysteries" (1991-1992)--where she functioned as researcher, producer on one special, and as production coordinator. She has contributed to MacGillivray Freeman IMAX films and various websites and other media; written dozens of articles for magazines and newspapers; and co-created and edited "High Plains Art" (first published in 2006) the Midwest region's only arts and culture magazine. She is the recipient of several national press awards and co-owns and operates Black Hills Bronze, a fine art foundry, in Hill City, South Dakota.
