She is an advocate for Trans Rights , She is Black Nova Scotian and also is public speaker and educator for the Intersectionality of being Black and Trans. Kris also is a licensed Esthetician and Make-Up Artist.She has performed the art of drag since 2005 under the Stage Name Elle Noir . Which is how she got into acting. Small roles at first then on to more speaking roles. For Television and Film. Acting along side Academy Award Winner Olympia Dukakis in the first two seasons of the TV Series Sex & Violence (2013-17), Kris played a trans abusive victim who is taken under the wing of Olympia's character, to become her protege for the woman's Shelter that was partly the main center for both seasons.As well in the 2020 Film Stage Mother(2020) Along Side Lucy Liu, Adrian Garner, Jackie Beat and The Multiple Academy Award Nominee Jacki Weaver .Chris also had her first time working behind the camera on Stage Mother(2020) as The Key Makeup Artist. She has appeared in two music videos .Alan Doyle's "Beautiful To Me" (Directed by Steph Young) . AS Well as Heather Rankin's remake of John Lennon's Classic "Imagine"( as well as doing the makeup for the music video)Kris has been part of many documentaries including Canada's A Drag (CBC) .
