A California native, Kim comes from a strong theater background, having performed in numerous professional productions in both New York and Los Angeles. She has studied at the prestigious Actors Studio and has worked alongside such Hollywood heavyweights as Shelley Winters, Jack Nicholson, and Mark Rydell. Beginning at the age of eight, Kim got her start doing a shampoo commercial with her mother, who was also an actress. With experience ranging from comedy at the esteemed Groundlings, as well as Second City, to working in numerous dramatic parts, Kim's television debut was a recurring role on the CBS soap opera, "The Young and the Restless." Soon to follow was a starring role in the feature film adaptation of John Patrick Shanley's award-winning play "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea" for HBO Films. Kim's rare combination of sex appeal and comedic timing landed her appearances on hit shows such as "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Passions," "Strong Medicine," and the upcoming prime time drama "House." Additional feature film appearances include "American Vampire" with Carmen Elektra and Barry Levinson's comedy "Envy," alongside Ben Stiller and Jack Black.Adding to her reputation as "the beauty with the brains," Kim is a licensed nurse and has worked the ER and ICU units at UCLA Medical Center. Her nursing skills have been heavily utilized on numerous medical dramas.Kim is also a screenwriter and playwright and has had numerous plays produced in Los Angeles, including "Define Love," which was deemed "truly incredible: the work of a female David Mamet" by LA Weekly.
