Kieran Gough was born in Romford, Essex in the UK to Irish parents. He lived there until the age of 9 when his father decided to return home to Dublin. From the age of 13 or so Kieran's mother decided that his sharp tongue and cheeky quips would be better utilized onstage rather than at home. She sent him to the respected Betty Ann Norton Theatre School which he attended for three years of weekly classes. Whilst attending Blackrock College secondary school, Kieran had the opportunity to perform in the Annual College Musical which were performed over five thrilling nights. From "Joseph" to "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Grease" to "Jesus Christ Superstar" he adored every second of every one of them. At the age of 15 he performed in "Bar and Ger" by Geraldine Aaron at the St Andrews College Drama Festival and went on to win Best Actor. He returned the next year as Jerry in Edward Albee's "The Zoo Story" to retain the award yet again. On finishing school he studied at University College Dublin and earned a BA in English and Economics. At the same time he was beginning to act professionally while also juggling a hectic social and educational life. He played Bad Boy Donnchadh De Burca in "Ros na Run" on Tg4 and Fred Kinney for A and E's film "The Magnificent Ambersons". Kieran also had enormous fun playing Boy Roy the wannabe Eminem on the BAFTA award-winning TV series "Custer's Last Stand Up" directed by Dearbhla Walsh. Show less «
