Kevin Robert Kiley Jr. was born in Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA. The son of Kevin Kiley Sr., a sports reporter and commentator and Lauren (née Riley), a former Miss Virginia. The oldest of two children, he has a younger brother named Kristopher. Kiley attended Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VA, where he played both football and basketball. He then went to Boston College, where he majored in Communications. While in college, he played for the Boston College Eagles football team, as a quarterback, before becoming a linebacker during the 2001 season. He has also played for the Canadian Football League Montreal Alouettes.Sports Entertainment fans may readily remember him as a former WWE professional wrestler beginning with the company around the age of 26 in 2007 as a developmental talent in the NXT training program. While in WWE, he worked primarily as Alex Riley. His training tenure in WWE's NXT lasted a total of four years, from 2007-2010. His career in professional wrestling spans nearly nine years, beginning on October 30, 2007 when he debuted in the WWE. His career included a tag team with wrestler Johnny Curtis (later known in WWE as Fandango), wrestling together as the Thoroughbreds, during 2008. His transition to the main roster was met with several lackluster gimmicks and story angles, including a brief association with Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin, during the course of 2010 and 2011. His migration into singles competition was equally unsuccessful and soon his job position was switched to serving as a Color Commentator beginning in 2013 until 2015 when he was returned to in-ring wrestling. However, his return to ring-action was short-lived as he wrestled his last match on his 35th birthday on April 28, 2016 in a loss to Shinsuke Nakamura. During May of 2016, Kiley was released from contract along with several other talents during a budget-conscientious roster-cut.Kiley did not remain inactive for long. The following year in 2017, he made his screen debut as a film and television actor. He appeared in the boxing film drama Glass Jaw (2017) and also in Season 1 of the women professional wrestling series GLOW (2017). Show less «
