Kevin "Keats" Jackman hails from Amityville, New York. He is the product of a musical/entertainment family. He follows in the footsteps of his legendary cousin, Allen Toussaint, an American musician, songwriter, arranger and record producer, who was an influential figure in New Orleans rhythm and blues in the 1950s. Keats is also the cousin of actor Haywood Nelson, who is best known for his portrayal of Dwayne Nelson on the influential sitcom "What's Happening!!". Keats was often reminded by his family that entertainment was in his DNA.At the tender age of 10, Keats began playing the trumpet. Keats discovered a love for writing. This prompted his high school English teacher to nickname him Keats, after noted English poet John Keats. During his high school years, Keats merged his love for music and writing and began writing songs and producing music.In 2017, after graduating from college, Keats moved to Atlanta to pursue a career in music. He quickly gained recognition as an artist. After an electrifying show where he performed the human beatbox, Keats was tapped by Beatbox Beverages (a Mark Cuban company) to produce a commercial focusing on his human beatbox skills. Later that year, he was selected by the NFL to write and produce a song to be used in a 2019 Super Bowl video with Hall of Fame player Michael Irvin.After capturing the attention of his current manager Charles Smith (The Stakeholder Team), the decision was made to combine his creativity, intellect, and production skills to develop original content on the TikTok platform. This led to the hilarious and widely popular "If the Planets Had a Meeting" skit series. The film was created, written, directed, produced, and scored, by Keats. As with the "If the Planets Had a Meeting" skit series, all 15 characters in the film were portrayed by Keats. Keats' massive amount of success as a social media content creator has resulted in him working with numerous corporations through sponsorships and endorsements.
