Kerry Alison Kelly was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, the oldest of 3 children of Keith and Colleen Kelly. She lived in Louisiana until age 15, when between sophomore and junior years of high school her family relocated to Texas. There she attended Lamar University, earning a Bachelors of Science in Communications. It was also in Texas that she continued pursuing her passion for equestrian competition, and has now been showing Arabians and hunter-jumpers for 25 years. In 2008 she met the man who would become her husband and bring her back to her home state of Louisiana the following year when they became engaged. There she began working as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Southern Theatre Group, and an avid lifelong interest in films, actors and Hollywood in general turned into working on set and soon, a new career path. Through hard work, taking many classes and workshops with acting coaches and mentors Jim Gleason of The Working Actors' Studio (WGN's Underground, Lee Daniels' The Butler, God Is Not Dead), Lance Nichols (HBO's Treme, AMC's Into The Badlands, Netflix's House of Cards), formidable coach Tim Phillips (who ignited the careers of Emmy Award winner Richard Schiff, Golden Globe nominee Wendy Malick and many others) and James DuMont of NOLA Actors' Gym (Dallas Buyers Club, Lee Daniels' The Butler, Trumbo) enabled Kerry to quickly move into booking principle roles within 3 years of a complete 180-degree career change. In addition to acting and some occasional modeling, producing has now piqued her interest and she has produced 5 projects now with a few more in development and pre-production stages.
