Author of "Depth of Focus: A Novel," Kenya Dieja Williamson attended Philadelphia's Temple University before relocating to Los Angeles where she's performed in dozens of commercials, TV shows and movies. The Pennsylvania native and novelist is also a screenwriter for TV, film and the web.Kenya's performing background began in childhood with plays, musical theater, choirs and orchestras. Her writing began -- sparked by poets including Poe and Byron -- with poetry and eventually moved on to plays, scripts and fiction.After small roles in the Samuel L. Jackson film One Eight Seven (1997), The Players Club (1998) with Ice Cube and several TV shows -- Living Single (1993), Saved by the Bell: The New Class (1993), Yes, Dear (2000), House M.D. (2004), etc. -- Kenya focused her attention on writing.
