Kenton Holden has been acting in theatre and film since 1979. His first stage role, as a senior in high school, was in the melodrama Sweeney Todd: Demon Barb of the Barbary Coast. Having grown up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Kenton went to school at New Mexico State University. Though you might not think of a southern New Mexico school as a leader in theatrical education, Kenton was lucky enough to have worked with and been mentored by the likes of Mark Medoff (Children of a Lesser God), and Stephen Kanee (director from the Guthrie and director/department head at Minnesota State University). In fact, while studying at NMSU, Mr. Medoff wrote roles for Kenton in two of his plays; The Hands of Its Enemy, and The Homage That Follows.Kenton has been in four national tours for Troupe America, acting in theaters across the country from California to New York. He has also had the pleasure, over the course of his career, of working with such artists as Tony-award-winning actress Phyllis Froelich (Children of a Lesser God), Harris Yulin Roger Stanton on "24"), Dennis Boutsakaris, Sally Struthers, and Sigourney Weaver.
