Kenley Swart grew up in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, where she attended Bellville North Primary School and Matriculated at DF Malan High School. She went on to study at Stellenbosch University from which she graduated in 2014 with her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre studies and Performance. In 2015 and 2016 she took time to refine her craft by completing the Higher and Advanced certificates in film acting at ACT Cape Town. At the same time she started working as a part time Drama Coach at The Stage Performing Arts Studio- where she used to be a student during her High school years. Her studies at ACT lead to some wonderful opportunities, performing in the short film Unspoken, written and directed by Nicola Hanekom, as well as performing in the play Girls Just Wanna Have Fun at Woordfees in 2017. She also got to practice her hand at some behind the scenes work, assisting as production coordinator and second AD on the feature film Cut-Out Girls directed by Nicola Hanekom. After concluding her studies at ACT she proceeded to become a Lecturer in The Stage's full time performing arts program. In 2018 she took some time off to focus on other interests and spent the year abroad. In 2019 she got cast as supporting lead, Lara Hattingh in the feature, Vergeet My Nie , directed by André Velts (released February 2020).
