Kelly Seo is a Canadian actress. She was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to Toronto, Ontario when she was 5 years old. Raised as the youngest of two kids, she aspired of being on TV and theatre after watching Princess Diaries 2. She started her theatre training at a young age since high school by attending Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts and moved on to working on her craft at York University's Theatre Studies and the Acting Conservatory Program. Following her theatre training, Kelly worked with local theatre companies including the New Ideas Festival 2015 production of "You Can Ask Me How I'm Doing" directed by Meg Moran and written by Norman Yeung. She played the role of the main character, Eunice's mom in the dramatic play which incorporated movement and mask work to portray Eunice's struggle with choosing life after her sexual assault experience. Kelly continued to pursue theatre and worked at Clay and Paper Theatre in 2017 as an actor, puppeteer, and singer with a range of live summer performances and TV appearance on Global TV's Morning Show. She continues to do more TV work and her most well known role is on Designated Survivor. Kelly's other skills and passions include her piano training as she is a certified piano teacher with RCM level 10 in Classic Piano and ARCT standard of theory training, a black belt in Taekwondo, and her Smart Serve certification.
