Kelly started working with Mr. Sanford Meisner in spring, 1992. He was subsequently invited to be a Founding Member of the Sanford Meisner Center for the Arts theater company in the winter of 1995. He won starring roles in several dozen plays and wrote/directed several plays at the SMC as well. Kelly was cast by Oscar nominated writer/director Lynn Mamet as the lead in the world premiere of "The Job". He was also cast to play Charles Lindbergh by writer/director Larry Cohen in his world premiere of "Fallen Eagle". Kelly considered the Meisner Center as his second home up until it's closing in February of 2013. Mr. Nelson most recently portrayed Jojo Haggerty in the feature length crime drama "Dry Run", directed by Aram Boyrazian. "Dry Run" is expected to be released in the summer of 2017. In January of 2017 Kelly began working out at the Ruskin Group Theater. An accomplished vocalist, Kelly sings Sinatra every Sunday night at The Belmont. Show less «
