Keean Manny Johnson, born Oct 25, 1996 by the foothills of the Colorado Rockies, is the son of a British father and an American mother. Home schooled for most of his life with his younger brother Cade, he balances much of his time between his passions for dance, music, acting, and photography. His first professional acting debut came at the age of 11 at the Denver Center for Performing Arts in the play 'Plainsong' and a new passion was born. It was at this same time that the casting director (Nora Brennan) for the Broadway musical 'Billy Elliot' cast him in the show which went on to win the Tony for Best Musical in 2008. Keean and his family moved from the suburbs of Denver to a 500 square foot apartment over the top of and Irish pub and a Japanese restaurant, and a love for the energy of New York City flourished. After performing over 300 shows on Broadway Keean moved from Manhattan to perform the same role in Chicago in 2010. He was soon seen on stage by a casting director (Claire Simon) and encouraged to move to Los Angeles with his family to further study acting and audition for TV and Film.While continuing to study dance in LA, Keean graduated out of high school and was then cast as the lead in The Hub Networks new series 'Spooksville'.If Keean is not acting, dancing or playing guitar you will find him at Manhattan beach having fun with his new passion; Surfing!
