Born in 1985, Kayla grew up in Greenacres, WA. From a young age Kayla dreamed of space exploration and carried the nickname of 'NASA' throughout her primary education. Kayla attended Space Camps, spent long nights with her telescopes, and won multiple national competitions before graduating high school. In college Kayla continued her dedication towards her dreams of space and earned degrees in Engineering Physics (BS), Math (Minor), Public Relations (Minor) and Space Studies (MS).
