Katrina O'Gilvie, also known as Katrina Andrews, has been involved with music, film and television production for most of her life. She was born in New York City and raised in the south of Spain where her father brought the first live Jazz concert to the country.She fell in love with the film industry at a very early age and went on to earned her BA and worked towards her MA in Film and Media Studies from The New School University in New York City.She knows the industry inside and out as she has worked as a talent coordinator, executive's assistant, writer's assistant and production coordinator/manager. Her time in feature development at Imagine Entertainment and then as Aaron Sorkin's assistant on Sports Night, gave her even more experience working directly with writers, directors, show runners, producers and executives.While raising her children, Katrina continued to work in production, wrote a pregnancy book, was a feature writer for LA Parent Magazine, and continued to write film and television scripts. She also reached a lifelong goal and wrote her first novel.Katrina comes from a very diverse family, her father was Jamaican/Irish and her mother is Puerto Rican, so she is proud to write with a wide range of interesting and diverse characters.
