Kathryn is from the East Coast. She earned a bachelor's degree in Springsteen History from Mets U in 1987. Like all Springsteen scholars, her work history includes stints at a variety of grocery stores, convenience stores and sanitation services. While traveling north to a Boss concert in Maine in 1996, her GPS told her to turn left and she ended up in Alaska. She has become a true Alaskan over the years and learned to love all wildlife, even adopting a rescued penguin. Kathryn retains her individuality, though, and utilizes a donkey sled rather than the omnipresent dog sled found in most Alaskan homes. Her colleagues at KIAK-FM welcomed her from the first and love the intellectual superiority she brings to the morning show. Kathryn reports that they do everything they can to support her and make her feel comfortable at all times. They were particularly supportive when she ventured into acting. (The rumor that they were hoping she would quit her day job is patently false.) Kathryn is looking forward to more movie roles and is practicing her celebrity wave and Oscar speech nightly.
