Kate Reilly is an American actor and writer. Kate has acted for filmmakers including Anocha Suwichakornpong, John Magary, Lee Chatametikool, and Ming Kai Leung, in films that have competed at Rotterdam's Tiger Awards, as well as Busan, Tribeca, Hong Kong, Edinburgh, and Austin Film Festivals. Chatametikool's Concrete Clouds, in which Kate played opposite Ananda Everingham, was produced by Sylvia Chang, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and Anocha Suwichakornpong. It won best picture and best director at the 2015 Subhanahongsa (Thai Film) Awards.Kate's feature screenplay You Were There has received production funding from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. The film will be directed and shot by Ming Kai Leung and produced by Anocha Suwichakornpong.Kate acts with New York theater group Polybe + Seats, which the Village Voice calls "a smart and ambitious company." Critics described her lead performance in their play A History of Launching Ships as "marvelous" and "a pleasure to watch."Kate was selected from hundreds for a house sketch team that wrote and performed live comedy at the Peoples Improv Theater in New York.
