Kate Elizabeth Laxton is an athlete turned professional film and television actress based in Sydney, Australia. Her most recent credits include the portrayal of Australian infamous icon, notorious occultist and bohemian artist Rosaleen Norton in the Screen Australia and Screen Queensland supported documentary feature film, The Witch of Kings Cross. She has also starred in Foxtel's Deadly Women over the last 4 years. Kate has acted in a range of TV commercials, series and short films, both for Australia and internationally including Nameless: Blood and Chains, from director and writer Michael Samer, Little Sista from director, writer and recent Heath Ledger scholarship recipient Charmaine Bingwa and Absit (which is now playing on The Shorts Movie Channel in the US) from director and writer Imogen Ross. She also featured in the Australian feature film Ruben Guthrie, directed by Brendan Cowell. Kate holds a diploma in screen acting from Screenwise and is mentored by one of Australia's greatest talents, Georgie Parker.
