Kate Boyer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Boyer studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where she was seen in several staged productions. Her mother, Cecelia Boyer, is a nurse of Scottish, Irish, and Cherokee Indian decent. Her deceased father, Fred Boyer, was a musician of French, German and Welsh decent. Her father at 13 was the youngest musician to play trumpet in the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra.In her late teens, after working in the music industry and majoring in Photography and Theater, Boyer moved to New York. There she sang in a Rockabilly band signed to Ultra Records and began touring the world playing with acts like Avicii and Benny Benassi.Soon after, her first break came with A&E's drama Those Who Kill, playing Marlene Anderson. During this time Kate's physical background led to doing her own stunts including motorcycle, fire burn and fight work. Boyer saw the need for strong woman in film and has since been pushing the boundaries taking on the role of both actress and action performer.Boyer resides in Los Angeles.
