Justin Lee Wilson is an American Television, Film, and Theater Actor. Born in San Diego, California, he started his acting career playing the "Soldier Prince" in his elementary school's production of "The Merry Moppets." He attended Clairemont Senior High School, where writer/director Cameron Crowe based much of his script for the feature film Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). Encouraged by the same teachers who had facilitated Crowe's research and writing for the film, Wilson declined an academic scholarship to attend UCLA, and opted instead to move to New York City to study acting. There, he trained at the famed Circle in the Square Theater School under acting instructors Terese Hadden and Alan Langdon. He also moonlighted at Sanford Meisner's Neighborhood Playhouse in the West Village. His professional theatrical debut occurred off-Broadway at the 12 Miles West Theater where he stared in a revival of Joe Calarco's Shakespeare's R & J. His performance was a critical success earning favorable reviews in major publications. Wilson went on to star in several more off-Broadway productions in the West Village, such as Tom W. Kelly's, "The Virgin Tango," Susan Miller's, "It's Our Town Too," and Edwin Parker's, "The Virtual Closet."Desiring to make the leap from stage to film, Wilson auditioned for NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program. Impressed by his audition, master acting teacher Ron Van Lieu, selected him from over nine hundred other aspiring actors to audition for the Chair of the program, Zora Fichandler. Ultimately, because he had not yet earned his bachelor's degree, Wilson was unable to matriculate. He subsequently took a multi-year break from acting to pursue his education. He graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in political science. He then taught English in Paris, France at Lycee Edmond Rostand. Upon returning to the States, Wilson earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the UCLA School of Law and practiced corporate law in Los Angeles for the next several years. He returned to acting full time in 2015. He has been cast in several shows for the Investigation Discovery Network, including Unusual Suspects (2010), Murder Book (2014), and True Nightmares (2015).
