Justin was born in London, Ontario, Canada to David and Sandra Goodhand, along with his older sister Amber. He attended high school at H. B. Beal Secondary, where he had the opportunity to perform in a number of school plays and musicals. Growing up in London, he was able to perform with The Grand Theatre as part of their High School Project, where he decided he wanted to pursue acting as a career. After graduating, Justin went on to attend the George Brown Theatre School where he trained as an actor in their conservatory. He has been a professional actor ever since.
