A native Clevelander, the seventh of 8 children. Julie relocated to Las Vegas in 2007. After attending both Lorain Community College and Kent State University and majoring in Broadcast Communications, she made the decision to enter the travel industry as a commercial flight attendant in 1991. A few years into her career she was offered an opportunity as an executive flight attendant to fly Hollywood A-List celebrities and high-profile clients. This position would bring her to the Entertainment capital of the world, where she caught the acting bug and where she would meet her primary acting coach, who also became her mentor as she began writing short films. In August of 2020, she was a contender and won Best Woman Filmmaker in the Vegas Film Awards for her first short film 8 Days of Lights, A Christmasukkah Story, she plays the role of Marla Bernstein, wrote and directed the Independent film. Julie and her husband of over 10 years celebrate their anniversary in Las Vegas, where she has been semi-retired since 2011. She is a fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cavs basketball and enjoys archery and target shooting. Julie has often jokingly referred to herself as the Latina 'Betty White' (not in the comedic sense), but in her underlying hopefulness that the same type of career longevity will be bestowed upon her someday.
