Juanique is an writer, presenter and actress. Born in South Africa, her ancestry is predominantly French and German. At the age of 14 she was recruited by a modeling agency. After graduation she discovered a natural talent for on-camera presenting while studying Journalism.She has collaborated on screenwriting projects with Gregg Watt, director/producer of award-winning short film, 'The Dashing Diner' (2003), as well as Franco Cardi, Italian theatre writer. While in Rome, she began working on an Italian theatre-to-screen adaptation of Cardi's 'L'Incidente' for Warner Brothers alongside Antonio Baiocco, director/writer of 'Passage to Paradise' (1998). During this time, Juanique was also cast as a feature in Martin Scorsese's 'Gangs of New York' (2001), but had to return home at the news of her father's death. She continued working as a model and commercial actor to fund research for a series of programs focused on Environmental, Social and Governance-related themes in Africa. Building on this body of knowledge, she began working with with Stephan McGuire, Associate Producer '11th Hour' (2007), to start a production company. Focussed on creating content to foster solution-driven mindsets to global challenges using complexity theory in media communications strategies.In 2013, Juanique adapted Dr Tanya Pergola's book 'Time is Cows' to screen for a documentary with the same name, chronicling the author's experiences living with the Maasai. In addition, she hosted 6 episodes of her own Cape Town TV talk-show The Innovation Files, featuring the work of the South African Institute for Entrepreneurship (SAIE). In 2014 she joined an acting agency and has since filmed a series of commercials as well as landing features in 'Homeland' (2014), 'Dominion' (2015) and 'Honey 3' (2016).
