Juani Feliz is an actress, born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx. Juani started acting at the age of 14 after getting involved in a few plays at her high school in the Bronx. Juani joined the Screen Actor's Guild in 2005 after booking a number of principal roles in major SAG projects, under the management of Donna and Randi Mollo of Mollo Management. Juani's first SAG acting job was a PSA for the U.S. Army and Ad Council's Operation Graduation campaign. Soon after, she landed guest star and co-star roles in the television shows Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Conviction, and had the great pleasure of sharing a set with actors Steve Buscemi and Michael Pitt for a principal role in the feature film Delirious. In her last year of high school, Juani was accepted to the prestigious Harvard College and moved to Cambridge, MA to pursue her college degree. To everyone's surprise, Juani decided to study Biomedical Engineering at Harvard, instead of acting. After college Juani worked at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, where she worked on a phase I clinical trial for a melanoma cancer vaccine, as well as the development of novel drug delivery systems and biomaterials. While working at the Wyss, Juani pursued a second degree at Harvard, a Master's degree in Management. She received her diploma at her second Harvard commencement in May.While she considers herself a science geek at heart, Juani's biggest passion has always been acting. After graduate school, Juani moved back to NYC to pursue her acting career. Juani recently made her big screen debut in Universal Pictures' The Purge: Election Year, which hit theaters July 1st. Since filming The Purge: Election Year in the Fall, Juani has continued her work on screen. She recently worked on Marvel's upcoming blockbuster Doctor Strange and on the upcoming comedic film The Polka King, with Jack Black and Jenny Slate. While Juani does not mind being type-cast, she would love to eventually book roles that defy the stereotypes of young Latina women in America, just as she has done in real life.
