Horror has always been Joston Theney's first love. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia in the early '80s, he raided his aunt's movie collection at every chance and enjoyed such gems as The Kindred, Friday the 13th, Evil Dead, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Mutilator and Happy Birthday To Me, just to name a few. It was during high school that his 11th grade English teacher took an interest in his creative writing abilities and ultimately guided him to being published at the age of only 16, and on to winning the prestigious "Building a Better Georgia Literary Award." Joston made the switch from short stories to screenplays when a producer contacted him to polish episodes of a sitcom that his production company was pitching to NBC Studios. Though the pilot was not picked up, Joston's talent was apparent and he was hired to polish screenplays for the producer, which led to referrals to rewrite some of the genre's best films today.
