Josh Welsh (born Joshua Stephen Welsh) is an up and coming Canadian actor. Born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada to Stephen and Shelley Welsh, Josh started acting at a fairly young age. At the age of 9, he starred in his first theatrical production of "Oliver!", playing the role of a chorus boy. A few years later, at the age of 12, he starred as a lead role in another theatrical production of "Annie Jr." playing the role of Daddy Warbucks. That same year, his parents signed him with a talent agent and shortly after did a YouTube video blog for Magnetix, as well as workshops with Al Onorato and Paul Weber, both from L.A.Josh continued to do theatre and musical theatre in Cornwall and area in the following years and dropped his agent after running into financial and other situations. He continued to study drama in high school and performing plays with Seaway Valley Theatre Company & Dream Maker Productions as well as school plays for the Eastern Ontario Sears Drama Festival. Throughout high school, Josh received many awards for drama and music. He received a silver & gold metal for his improvisational work in the Eastern Ontario Skills Competition, in Cornwall.In 2011, Josh started to do more film work independently with Reel Thing Films, starring as lead role in "Dark Cuts". Two years later, he would be working on his second indie film starring as another lead role in Franceska FingerNailZ, playing the role of Nathan, one of the lead campers with 3Angels Power Film Inc.In 2013, he started studying at A.C.T. with Claudia Jurt in Ottawa, Ontario and has met many interesting people in the industry.
