Josh Bartholow was born on October 1, 1974 in Wilmington, North Carolina, USA, to Barbara (Brower), a jeweler, and Stanley Bartholow, a Nashville musician. He is married to Charree Bartholow and resides in Carolina Beach, NC. Taking after his father, Josh also worked as a musician playing in local venue's while attending part time acting classes in his early 20's. At the young age of 12, the neighborhood streets where he grew up were overrun by the film crew of the Stephen King film Maximum Overdrive (1986), sparking his interest in the industry.Throughout the early millennium, Josh appeared in circuit theatrical rolls such as the La machine à explorer le temps (2002) based on the novel by H.G. Wells. Over the next decade he primarily worked in background until he was offered a small featured part in the science fiction film American Warship (2012) starring Mario Van Peebles.
