"It's best to just get out of the way and let the man upstairs do his thing, cause what we think we have figured out isn't even the tip of the iceberg..." says Joseph Mendicino, number four of five boys from Pittsburgh PA.Joseph grew up working with his family in construction, after a very athletic driven high school career he entered into Gannon University on a partial football scholarship. A back injury in his sophomore year left Joseph unable to be out on the field so he shifted his focus from sports to the stage. He soon discovered his talent for acting, performing in such roles as Cripple Billy in 'The Cripple of Inishman' and Claudio in 'Much Ado About Nothing'. He was subsequently recognized for his performances and selected by a local theatre company to co-star as Michael Just in 'Tony and Tina's Wedding'.Shortly after, Mendicino moved to New York City to pursue acting professionally where he joined the esteemed HB Studios. After six months of sofa surfing and auditioning, he decided to re-locate to Los Angeles where he soon booked his first television role as a high school bully named Buck on Nickelodeons 'Drake and Josh'. He then appeared in several television commercials and went on to guest star in 'South of Nowhere' for MTV/N, and 'Close to Home' on CBS. Joey was chosen to feature as the love interest in the platinum selling artist; Jem's 'Wish I' video (SonyBMG)'. In 2006 Joey got his first lead role in the Warner Brothers/Raw Feed feature film 'Rest Stop Dead Ahead' and is also appearing in the upcoming sequel.
