Born November 2, 1970, Joseph Claude Dubois spent his childhood in Onaping, a small mining town in Northern Ontario, outside of Sudbury. His father worked as a diesel mechanic in the nickel mines and his mother was a school teacher. Surrounded by four sisters, Joseph was the middle child. Acting caught Joseph's interest at a young age, however, these creative seeds were not allowed to flourish within his family's evangelical environment. At twenty one life changed dramatically with the arrival of his first son, and another son followed two years later. Now a new father, steady income was key, and like his father, he worked a stint in the nickel mines before moving to driving truck. He also spent some time working a trapline in the Northern wilds. In 2016, the time was right for Joseph to chase his dream of acting. Northern Ontario was becoming a popular location for film production, and he quickly landed roles in some student and independent films shooting in the area. He also enrolled in classes at MAS Acting Studios in Sudbury to hone his craft. Instructors and casting directors encouraged his progress, and before long more auditions and roles came along. Now primarily based in southern Ontario, between roles Joseph occasionally works in the transportation department of film crews in and around Toronto. When not on set, Joseph still craves the open road, and you'll often find him roaming the back roads on his motorcycle.
