Dr. Joseph Bivens has dedicated his life to the enhancement and the re-creation of the human form. An artist and a musician, Dr. Bivens pursued Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as a career path in order to fulfill his desires to embellish beauty and balance of the body.He was born in Florida where he attended the University of Florida for both undergraduate and Medical School. Illouz, Fornier, Hetter, Toledo and Lewis. Breast Reconstruction and body contouring became his focus during his years of practice in San Diego, California.Dr. Bivens moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1996 where along with a busy private practice in Plastic Surgery he was a faculty member at Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Surgery, Associate Medical Director of a large IPA and member of the Atlanta Medical Association. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, and a candidate of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.Dr. Bivens returned to Southern California, which is among the various regions in which people love to look good and remain as youthful as possible. The move has re-tuned him to his roots and to the area that he most appreciates.Dr. Bivens expanded his expertise as consultant to celebrities and the media entertainment industry.
