Joe lived in foster care from age 4 to 18. He started working as an Extra on TV & Films in 1994 to 1998. He served in the United States Navy 1998-2002 with VS-32 (in Jacksonville, Florida, working on S-3B Vikings. He was deployed to the Arabian Gulf twice (1999-2000 & 2001-2002). He served in Operation Southern Watch & Operation Enduring Freedom. He was awarded the following: The Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Medal (Service), and A Flag Level Letter of CommendationAfter the Navy, he started working in TV and Film again and moved to behind the camera and in to the Art Department.In December 2010, Joe was reunited with his sister Katie after over 28 years of separation.
