José Mata, 29 years old, is a Portuguese actor with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre (acting module) from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School. He is best known for his debut role in the TV hit series "Morangos com Açúcar" (2004). Since then, however, he has starred in many Portuguese soap operas (the most watched TV format in Portugal), series, movies and theatre plays. In television, it's important to note his last work in the critically acclaimed soap opera "Mar Salgado", which broke all records for prime time viewership shares. Also in 2015, José Mata was cast for the French TV-series called "Une Famille Formidable" (Panama Productions), his second international role - in 2013, José had a special appearance in the International Emmy nominated Angolan soap-opera "Jikulumessu".
