Jose Garcia is an American actor working in theatre, television and film.Born in New Haven, CT, he spent some time in Puerto Rico before returning to Connecticut at the age of 7.Jose took his first acting class as a freshman at the University of Connecticut. He graduated with a BFA and decided to continue his studies at Indiana University. After receiving his MFA, he moved to Chicago, IL to begin his career as an actor.Most of his work has been in theatre, working with such companies as The Goodman Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Steep Theatre Company, Stage Left Theatre, Factory Theatre, BoHo, Collaboraction, Chicago Children's Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare Festival and Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival.While still working in theatre, in 2012 he began to make the transition into TV/Film work with small appearances in shows like Boss, Mob Doctor and Chicago Fire.He resides in Chicago with his wife Sarah and their dog Zorra.Jose is represented by Paonessa Talent Agency, LLC.
