Jon L Yowell is an independent actor in the DFW area. He has enjoyed acting since elementary school when he auditioned for his first school play and joined the local Thespian Club. In high school, he won accolades for playing Felix in the one act play "The Odd Couple" . Jon decided after high school that he wanted to be a professional actor, so he went to college and majored in drama in 1983- but like many aspiring actors, he was forced to quit, put acting aside, and work a mix of white collar and blue collar jobs to help support himself and his family. Jon held a total of 6 different jobs over a span of 25 years, and while working 40-60 hrs a week, Jon would volunteer after work and on weekends as cast and/or crew for plays, musicals, and other productions at local churches and small theater houses in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. On his 46th birthday, in the year 2011, Jon made a commitment to go back to following his dream of being a full time actor. Weeks later, he was auditioning for extra and principal roles in webshows, local films and commercials--- and getting cast! Jon continues today adding to his resume by acting in, directing, and/ or producing songs, videos, web-series, short films, commercials, and feature films in the DFW area.
