John Stuckmeyer has had a varied career in film and television production spanning over 40 years. John co-wrote and co-produced the highest-grossing independent film of 1982 ("The Sword & the Sorcerer"). As a Producer and DGA Production Manager John produced two dozen long-form projects for USA, ABC, Starz, MTV & TNT.As an Production Executive on the film side John worked as a VP of Production overseeing films for Disney and The Completion Bond Company (working with directors John Woo, Sam Shepard, Gus Van Sant). In Television John has worked as an Executive for HBO, Warner Bros. Television (overseeing One Tree Hill, Everwood, Nip/Tuck, The Closer). John was also a senior executive at MRC, overseeing such TV projects as Surviving Suburbia (ABC), Rita Rocks (Lifetime), The Ricky Gervais Show (HBO), Life & Times of Tim (HBO) and the development portion of House of Cards (Netflix). In July 2014 John joined Universal Cable Productions and as an SVP, Production oversaw The Magicians, Imposters, Channel Zero, Shooter, Impulse, Pearson, The Act, Dr Death, Brand New Cherry Flavor, Chucky the Series (for platforms such as You Tube Originals, Hulu, USA, SyFy, Peacock, Netflix). John has had the pleasure to work in Charleston, Salt Lake City, Wilmington, New Orleans and New York. Foreign cities include Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg, Cape Town, Prague and Budapest. John departed UCP at end of 2020 to join ML Snowden Media as a Partner. Company will be developing content in both the scripted & non-scripted spaces.
