John Mese received his M.F.A in acting from LSU. He then moved to Los Angeles and has lived there or in New York as a working actor ever since. John Mese received his M.F.A in acting from LSU. He then moved to Los Angeles and has lived there or in New York as a working actor ever since. In 2013 John produced, was 1st A.D. and acted in "King of Herrings" which premiered at The New Orleans Film Festival and won the coveted Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. John and his wife Dawn Kelsey launched their children's book company, "Flippy and Friends" nationwide in 2008. John received "The Young Alumnus of the Year Award" from LSU in 2000. John also wrote/produced/directed several short films including the mini-feature, "Perfect Day" (2007) which also premiered at the New Orleans Film Festival. On stage John has acted roles in over 30 plays including; Brick in Cat on Hot Tin Roof, and Hoss in The Tooth of Crime by Sam Shepard.
