John grew up in rural St. Louis, MO where he began his acting career in the halls of St. Louis University High School under the tutelage of Joe Schulte. His first professional show was "A Chorus Line" at The Muny in St. Louis. Working thru college, John traveled to NY after graduation pursuing acting by doing off Broadway productions such as "Jesus and Mandy", "Lightspeed", and "Clifford the Big Red Dog...Live!" while landing a recurring role on "As the World Turns".
