Born and raised on a dairy farm in County Meath, Ireland, John moved to London in 2010 to attend East 15 Acting School under the tutelage of Andrea Brooks. Since graduation John has appeared in numerous shorts as well theatre in Ireland, Germany and the UK. A keen horse racing enthusiast, John initially worked on his home farm and at a local racing stable before gaining a degree in Economics and Finance from Trinity College Dublin. He got into acting after university doing local productions and won the 2007 Association Best Actor Award for his portrayal of Jekyll and Hyde. in 2010 he decided to pursue full time training in London. Before completing his East 15 studies he became part of the large ensemble cast of Emperor and Galilean at the National Theatre directed by Jonathan Kent and his most recent theatre appearance was a UK and Ireland tour of The King's Speech for Birmingham Rep directed by Roxana Silbert.
