Joel Porcalla is a mix Filipino Caucasian actor, model, and musician. He was born in Trenton, Michigan into a Filipino (father) and Caucasian (mother) family. He started his journey at the age of 3 where he modeled for a fashion show in Birmingham, Michigan. A year later he starred in his first musical, Miss Saigon, and played the lead role of Tam. After his performance in the theater, he registered with the i Group Model and Talent Agency and since has auditioned for many commercials and booked several for the automotive and healthcare industries. He also has performed in three internet productions for Pocket Parables Media. He auditioned and was selected to participate in Season 4 of the EMMY & NETA Award-winning National PBS Kids science show, Curious Crew. Joel loves music, at the age of 5 he started piano lessons and has performed in five talent shows for grade school, and numerous piano recitals. He will be playing piano for the middle school jazz band this school year September 2018-2019. Joel also took interest in the drums and is on the worship team at his church. Joel is quite an athlete. He has played soccer since the very young age of 4, he also ran track in 6th grade and placed first in the 100-yard dash and the relay.
