Joseph A. Mackey is an up and coming actor who was born in the small town of Benton Harbor Michigan, moving to Wichita Kansas in the early 2000's. Joe was raised by his grandfather and grandmother Joseph A. and Eleanor J. Mackey for the majority of his life. While never having a strong relationship with his actual mother, Betsy Mackey, he did acquire numerous artistic traits both in design and performance from her. As Betsy is also a known sculpture and painter with a degree in the arts herself. The Mackey family as a whole however has been no stranger to the arts either for some time now, being descendants of 1940s & 50s American actress of the stage and screen-Tallulah Brockman Bankhead, who was indeed Joe's great aunt as well. But it was Joe's grandmother, Jean, who first pushed Joe to seriously pursue a career in the arts and acting. Always encouraging him to audition for this show or that modeling job as a young man.Joe first realized his interest in acting and performing at a young age, taking part in a multitude of talent shows and competitions. Since then, he has continued training in the craft, studying methods ranging from the Meisner technique to method acting. With over 7 total years of experience under his belt, Joe has developed a solid base of both commercial and industrial work throughout the Midwest. In 2015 he also began SAG-Eligible. However, his reach has not only been limited to commercial work. He has also begun to develop a flourishing film/TV career as well with a list of short films, web series, and various other indie projects under his belt. He has auditioned for roles on the Young & The Restless, CSI Cyber, as well as a handful of various other major network programs. The feature film industry is no different with current and future projects in Tulsa/OKC, Louisiana, and LA in the works. Oddly enough his first feature film titled 'Wichita', was filmed in his hometown of Wichita, where he plays the villain Christian Davis.Most notably however, Joe, is known for being very adaptive and having a "incredibly believable versatile range" for his look. He has been noted by several casting directors, producers, and directors as having a "unique and highly marketable look" that has acquired him various acknowledgments and accolades over the last several years.
