Trained in Stanislavski and Checkhov technique, voice, stage combat, quarterstaff, broadsword, mask, and clowning, Joe has played drama, broad comedy, and musical roles Off-Broadway, in regional theatre, film, at the Actors' Studio, and in several recurring roles on daytime televisionFrom Daniel Mann, Joe learned how to work with a classic method director, from Walter Matthau, the subtle strength of a slow comedic turn of the head with an added twinkle of the eye which was in total contrast to Robin Williams, who taught Joe the fine points of guerilla comedy without having to embody that persona in his personal life. Working with Tony Scott made him appreciate the joy of being on set every day as a member of a large team, putting together a wonderful product amidst all kinds of unintended detours.Joe has recently worked as the unyielding Cuban Consulate in Killing Kennedy, the irate Italian in the short film Lobster Fra Diavolo, and the solid yet sympathetic bartender in House Of Cards.Joe is very supportive of others who would like to follow their passions, works well with kids, and looks forward to playing a compassionate gangster a la Dennis Farina in a story with a moral.
